Empowering Students: Personalized College Counseling

Updated: May 13

Applying to college is an arduous process. It seems like there are different requirements at every turn. Should I take the SAT or ACT? Should I report a test score or submit an application without it? Does my school take the Common Application, or is there another application that I need to do? Is my essay good? Do I actually like this school? These questions and a million more are common and natural. If you have no questions at all, you either have great support, or you may not have looked as deep into the process as you may need to. By meeting with a college counselor, you can ask all of these questions and get some answers to these questions that clutter your mind and start to take steps towards your goal of going to college. A college advisor is someone who wants to help you find the right school for you. Finding that school is probably at the end of that list of questions that you have not asked yet. In my experience talking with high school and college students, while they are applying, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding if they have done the right things. A college counselor wants to take that uncertainty away, and that is my ultimate goal in starting my own business. I want to help people find the right school for them, because the school that your best friend is going to might not be right for you. They way that your older brother or cousin applied to school may be different from the way that you need to apply because you are looking at a different major, a different kind of school, or you are chasing after a specific program that has strict requirements. As a college counselor I want to help you clear those hurdles as they come up by asking the questions and pushing you in the right direction. College isn't for everyone, but there is a perfect college out there for everyone that wants to go. I want to make it my mission to help you find it, get accepted, and be ready to hit the ground running once you get to campus.

I hope I get to help you make your college dreams come true.
